Groomsman and Groom’s Brother, Steve

ts a strange thing when your brother has been there to witness almost every single girl you’ve ever gone out with. I can’t even imagine the thoughts that must go through ones head.
My brother and I are 8 years apart and our difference of lifestyle, pretty polar opposite, but our roots and similarities outweigh any of that. They say your always influenced by your older siblings and that couldn’t be any truer with my brother and I. The truth is it was him who introduced me to sci-fi and the occult. I met Capt Spock once when he took me along to a star trek convention. And the endless hours we spent watching Twilight Zone marathons was always a sacred ritual.
My taste in music I can trace back to the day when I found a Metallica “Enter Sandman” Cassette single in his room and I played it out till it didn’t work anymore.
He even took me to my first concert to see the Eagles. Hotel California live is a pretty indescribable experience I must say.
It was my brother who jumpstarted my career in entertainment. From editing video book reports together in elementary school to introducing me to Malcolm (another groomsmen) who ended up hiring me for my first TV show.
My point is, all of these things made me who I am today and who I was the day I was able to attract a keeper like Corinne. Thanks for steering me straight the times I needed, and sharing with me my most important day to come.

Groomsman Malcom

I’ve known Malcolm for nearly half my life. When I was 16, Malcolm Bird Stumbled into my high school wearing a fancy black suit accented by a scuffed up pair of Chuck Taylor All Stars. He was there that day to hire me to host a kids television show he was producing in South Beach.
This was the first but definitely not the last time Malcolm would hire me for some absolutely insane job.
18 months or so later after the show was done, Mal moved to Los Angeles.
I graduated High School shortly after and decided to follow for the sake of adventure. Malcolm put me up in his Hollywood apt for a few weeks until I found a place of my own.
As 2 bachelors in Los Angeles we began frequenting Hollywood Nightclubs on the weekends, taking on the Sunset Strip by storm, and eating Carney dogs till the wee hours of the morning. He even bought me my first legal drink at the stroke of midnight of my 21st birthday. He helped me land my first job in LA with Warner Brothers, and then hired me a year or so later to host a new kids show for NBC.
With the ending of yet another show, Mal found himself moving to DC to work for AOL.
It wasn’t long before he was calling me to come work for him in his new kids and teens division. My new job, very “Almost Famous.” He made me live on various tour buses traveling around the world reporting from rock tours and concerts. Real rough let me tell ya.
Next thing you know, Mal’s moving to New York City.
So guess who followed suit 6 months later?
Living together in NY led to some even more amazing stories and adventures that I won’t get into here, but my point…Malcolm has been there every step of the way and has helped shape who I am today. Oh yeah he even helped me with Corinne’s ring and will be getting married himself 2 weeks after me (wish him congrats when you see him:)
He’s one of the most influential people to have ever entered my life and I’m extremely excited to have him partaking in yet another amazing chapter of it.
Random Fact: I have slept on the couch in every apartment Malcolm Bird has lived in while in the United States.
