Groomsmen Kilay and Dave

The first time I met Dave he sold Cigarettes to me illegally. (Sorry Dave those are just the facts:) Joe and I were at Aventura Mall in Miami and Dave worked at “Nates News Stand”. I must have been 14 or 15, Dave was a couple years older. Joe and I visited the newsstand regularly that summer as we were both working (also illegally) at the Chuckee Cheese Pizza in the shopping plaza across the street. That was a really weird summer but none the less the summer that I met Shady Dave Sabinator. I really wish I could explain to you here the good times we’ve had but I’ll have to save’em for the book and disguise the names before any of that can be told.
It was a couple years later that I met Kilay. We went to highschool together but were both drifters that had never really noticed each other. It wasn’t until Joe had moved into the same housing complex as Kilay that we became friends and we’d find ourselves over at his place on the regular. It was around this time Dave, Kilay, Joe and Myself started to drift in and out of each others places and lives pretty constantly and grew close. Over the years we’ve all kept in touch have gotten together regularly and all share a pretty assumed and unspoken bond that connects the 4 of us.
These days Kilay lives about 40 minutes south of me in Southern California. He’s one of those internet entrepreneurs who wears sandals and has an office backdoor that leads to the Pacific Ocean. We’ve seen the early morning sun rise over the Burning Man desert and have danced till dawn on the mountain tops of New York. Bonus: His wife Natalie and Corinne have grown to be good friends which just makes hanging out that much cooler.
Dave resides in Florida liven it up on the swanky streets of West Palm Beach as a fancy PR guy. His job is to schmooze and wear sweaters around his neck. Most recently Dave and I spent days on end tearing up the streets of Brooklyn, eating on the roofs of french restaurants, and hangin out on the Hudson rocking out to Run DMC. Random Fact: He’s one of a few privileged friends to have tried my Moms famous “Captain Crunch Chicken”.
These are 2 of my best friends and I’m super stoked to have them with me one on such an important day. Thanks guys!
